Authorities in California made quite the discovery when they seized about 800 pounds of marijuana from a boat on a Malibu beach.
Canyon News reports that witnesses reported the suspicious craft to police after it was seen drifting on Westward Beach Saturday.
Los Angeles County Sheriff deputies were first to arrive on the scene and found several black garbage bags full of the drug hidden inside the boat. Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) agents also arrived to assist in the investigation.
There were so many bags of weed that authorities had to use a front loader to transport the drugs to a truck, where it was then loaded into the back of a Field Operations vehicle, ABC reports.
After the cannabis was removed, lifeguards and officials pushed the boat back into the water.
Authorities aren’t sure if the boat washed ashore or was intentionally left there, but are asking anyone with information to fill out a tip form on ICE’s website or to call their tip hotline.
