Goldsboro man arrested for growing marijuana

GOLDSBORO, N.C. (WITN) – A Goldsboro man is behind bars after deputies say he was found growing marijuana in his home.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested 62-year-old Richard Strickland Friday. He faces several charges including manufacturing marijuana, possession with the intent to sell and distribute marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and possession of firearm by felon.

The sheriff’s office says deputies found 360 grams of marijuana, 35 marijuana plants, 3 firearms and several items used to package sell and distribute marijuana at Strickland’s home on Ann Street.

Strickland is being held under a $10,000 secured bond.
