POLICE MAKE NUMEROUS MARIJUANA ARRESTS OVER THE WEEKEND

Four people face charges after their arrests on marijuana possession charges this weekend.

Friday night, around 11:30, 24-year old Charles Buckner of Brenham was charged with Possession of Marijuana.

Officer Eddie Martinez responded to a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Jackson Street Park.  Martinez reports that Bucker had marijuana in plain sight.

About an hour later, Officer Sierra Newell and Officer Mickey Gressman were on foot patrol on South Chappell Hill St., when they came upon two women sitting in a parked car.  Officers say they could smell the strong odor of marijuana.

One of the women, identified as 18-year old Kirbie Grace Rogers of Brenham, reportedly tried to flee but was quickly caught by Officers.

Rogers is charged with Possession of Marijuana and Evading Arrest.

Late Saturday night, authorities responded to a disturbance in a parking lot in the 2700 block of S. Market St.

Authorities found four males and one female. One of the males reportedly tried to conceal marijuana.  19-year old Devun Roberts Cooksey is charged with Possession of Marijuana and Tampering with evidence.

Then, Saturday night around 11:45, Officer Sierra Newell responded to a disturbance in the 800 block of Durden St.

During the investigation, it was found that 29-year old Delmus Deshon Graves of Bryan was on an active warrant for Possession of Marijuana.
