$5M in marijuana found at South Jacksonville truck stop

Two men from Texas are behind bars for allegedly transporting $5 million worth of marijuana through Morgan County.

Muhammad Usama, 21, and Syed Fraz Ahmad, 43, now face cannabis trafficking charges.

It all happened around 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the Love’s Travel Stop in South Jacksonville.

Illinois State Police troopers searched the RV and found 1,000 pounds of marijuana.

Both men are being held at the Morgan County Detention Center.
