CCSO Busts Two Indoor Marijuana Grows

December 7 was a bust day for the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team, as they busted two indoor marijuana grows in Valley Springs.

Members of the Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant for an illegal unregistered indoor marijuana grow at a residence on Delin Way in Valley Springs on December 7. No subjects were found to be present during the warrant service, although suspects involved with this operation have been identified by authorities. Upon arrival, deputies found that the entire house and garage had been converted for marijuana cultivation with a small area in one room as living quarters. More than 1200 marijuana plants were seized as well as a large amount of US Currency and a vehicle.

On the same day, The Marijuana Enforcement Team served a search warrant for an illegal unregistered indoor marijuana grow at a residence in the 10000 block of Milton Road Valley Springs. This operation was an independent investigation from the other indoor marijuana grow seized earlier in the day. Upon arrival, deputies found the entire house hadbeen converted for marijuana cultivation.

More 2,020 marijuana plants were seized and one subject arrested. The plants varied in size from small seedlings to tall mature marijuana plants.

Sian Huang, 28, was arrested for illegal marijuana cultivation and maintaining a place for the purpose of unlawfully selling, giving away, or using any controlled substance. Huang listed his address as the Milton Road house, though he had a New York Identification card in his possession. He was booked into the Calaveras County Jail with $30,000 bail.
