Selling marijuana to an undercover agent on multiple occasions has led to the arrest of a Coralville man.
Police say the undercover agent conducted three separate buys this month from 24-year-old Nicholas Montgomery of 6th Avenue. According to police, Montgomery initially agreed to sell the agent 60 grams – about an eighth of a pound – on July 3.
Montgomery allegedly agreed to sell another eighth of a pound to the agent four days later before agreeing to deal the agent a quarter-pound of marijuana on Friday. The deals took place at three different locations in Coralville and North Liberty.
Montgomery is charged with three Controlled Substance Violations and faces a maximum prison sentence of 15 years.
