Jackson County marijuana grow bust

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit announced that one man has been arrested after a marijuana grow bust.

Officers received information about an outside marijuana grow behind a residence on Snodgrass Road in Scottsboro.

Along with ALEA’s Aviation Unit and patrol deputies, officers located and seized approximately 21 7-foot tall marijuana plants along with a small amount of “manicured marijuana” from inside the residence.

David Benjamin Richey, age 40, of Scottsboro, was charged with Possession of Marijuana 1st degree.

He was taken to the Jackson County Jail and booked without incident.
