Oregon Cannabis Industry to Gather to Benefit Cascade AIDS Project

This coming Wednesday, February 21, 2018, The Weed Blog will host another Oregon cannabis industry mixer and networking event to provide an accessible space for Oregon cannabis industry professionals and hopefuls to engage in meaningful conversations and connections. The Weed Blog has partnered with Cascade AIDS Project (CAP) on this event, and all proceeds raised by the cannabis industry at this event will benefit their organization. The event will take place from 6-9 p.m. and will be held at the Lagunitas Community Room.

This is the third fundraiser that The Weed Blog has done with CAP. Kim Lundin is the Development Manager for CAP and said, “The Weed Blog has been an incredible supporter of Cascade AIDS Project. Their events raise funds that are crucial to our work and they have facilitated many fantastic opportunities for CAP to make connections in the Cannabis industry. We have a deeply shared belief of investing in our community for a more equitable and strong Oregon.”

Additionally, The Weed Blog will host Portland City Council Candidate Andrea Valderrama. Valderrama currently serves as one of Mayor Ted Wheeler’s advisors and is running for Portland City Council in 2018. As a community leader, mom and first generation Latina, Andrea Valderrama is dedicated to helping more people and families succeed, and local neighborhoods to thrive. Valderrama will be making a few remarks about her campaign at the event.

Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided for guest and a cash bar for beer and wine will be present as well, thanks to the Lagunitas Community Room.

The event will also include a silent auction this time! Wonderful silent auction donations have been made by Deanz Greenz, The Caputo Group, NugToolsMarijuasana, Green Leaf Lab, and Coalition Brewing. CAP has also donated tickets to their upcoming art auction gala as well.

You can purchase tickets and read more about the event here. For updates on silent auction prizes, check out the Facebook event page.
