Police Marijuana-growing operation busted
MOUNT POCONO, MONROE COUNTY (WOLF) — Police say they found an active marijuana-growing operation at a home in Mount Pocono.

Paul Ward, 26, was arraigned Friday on charges of drug possession, conspiracy, and endangering the welfare of a child, according to court records.

Police say they found 18 marijuana plants in a basement in the 100 block of Knob Road on Thursday, and 18 smaller “clones” in an upstairs bedroom, along with drying and bagged marijuana, empty heroin baggies, and a rifle.

The criminal complaint says Ward told police he took over the operation from his late father, and that he admitted the marijuana and heroin was his.

Investigators say an 8-year-old also lives in the house. Ward’s bail was set at $100,000.
