U.S. Intelligence has Confirmed a Dossier Linking Trump to Russia

U.S. investigators have backed up a dossier compiled by a former British intelligence agent. The investigators revealed this information talking to BuzzFeed News and CNN.

Parts of the explosive 35-page dossier claims, among other things, that President Donald Trump has strong ties to Russia. In his defense, Trump has dismissed the information, describing it as “phony stuff” and “fake news.”

According to BuzzFeed, the details regarding an alleged sexual encounter that happened in a Moscow hotel have been established and hence they are “are not salacious allegations,” but rather “more about Trump’s relationship with Russia.”

The source revealed that although they are not sure about the parts, they know some of it is true. He added that “no one will care about” some of the other confirmed details.

A second U.S. intelligence official told BuzzFeed that, “Over the past two weeks we’ve determined some portions [of the dossier] are credible.”

According to CNN report, former President Barack Obama and president-elect Trump had both seen a summary of the full dossier which was published in January.

“This is more fake news,” White House press secretary Sean Spicer told CNN of its latest reporting. “It is about time CNN focused on the success the President has had bringing back jobs, protecting the nation, and strengthening relationships with Japan and other nations. The President won the election because of his vision and message for the nation.”
