Weed, Shoplifters, Suspended Licenses: Beachwood Police Blotter

BEACHWOOD, OH — Police made several arrests this past week, including of people wanted for theft in Maple Heights, shoplifters, and people found in possession of marijuana. Read more about each incident below.

License Suspension, July 16 — Police stopped a car on Harvard Road for having expired plates. The driver had a suspended license and was cited. His car was towed from the scene and his plates and vehicle registration were seized.

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, July 16 — A man was arrested on Auburn Drive for driving a car without permission.

Fraud, July 16 — A man reported his credit card was used fraudulently at a Beachwood gas station on Monday.

Shoplifting, July 17 — Officers arrested a woman for stealing merchandise from H&M on Tuesday. She was found in possession of about $26 of merchandise, police said. The woman also reportedly had stolen merchandise from Forever 21 in her possession.

Warrant Served, July 17 — A woman wanted on a warrant from Maple Heights Police was arrested in the parking lot of Beachwood Place Mall.

Marijuana Possession, July 19 — Officers stopped a car on Fernwood Drive for having expired license plates. The driver, a man, had a suspended license and had marijuana in his possession, police said.

Shoplifting, July 19 — Police arrested a man for shoplifting from stores at Beachwood Place Mall on Thursday. The man is also being charged with receiving stolen property, possession of criminal tools and possession of drug paraphernalia.
