Woman Ordered To Pay $3,200 Stamp Tax For Marijuana

NEBRASKA CITY – A 26-year-old Missouri woman has been ordered to pay a $3,200 stamp tax after Otoe County officials say 88 pounds of marijuana was found in a car parked at a Syracuse hotel.

Daniela Gonzales was also sentenced to 36 months probation.

The Nebraska State Patrol and Seward County deputies alerted Otoe County officials in January that three cars were suspected of transporting narcotics. Deputies made contact with Gonzales at a Syracuse gas station and later found bundles of the marijuana in separate vehicle that had been abandoned at the hotel parking lot.

In other action, the court sentenced Raina A. Hansen, 36, of Nebraska City to 48 months probation for attempted distribution of methamphetamine on Jan. 13.
